Abstract

he Hemolytic uremic syndrome is a clinical state characterized by uremia, thrombocytopenia, and microangiopathic hemolytic anemia. Since the first description of this illness by Gasser in 1955, it has been recognized with increasing frequency.
Recently we experienced a case of hemolytic uremic syndrome with pseudomas cepacia bacteremia. Diagnosis of hemolytic uremic syndrome was established by typical clinical and laboratory findings and percutaneous renal biopsy. Pseudomonas cepacia
produces
neuraminidase. A toxin which induces the glomerular vascular injury and platelet aggregation by expressing cellular Thomsen-Friedenreich receptor, promoting leukocyte aggregation, producing generalized Schwartzman rection, and changing
intravascular
coagulation factor VII R : AG, We present this case with a review of the literatures.
